RHEUMATOLOGY

Rheumatology is the study of immune-related illnesses of the musculoskeletal system, which includes joints, muscles, ligaments, and tendons. Systemic rheumatic illnesses are a group of disorders that affect your blood vessels, skin, nerves, and most internal organs. Rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, spondyloarthritis, crystalline arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus (lupus), and scleroderma are the most common disorders.

Some of the diseases are serious & difficult to diagnose and treat. Currently practice in the field is based on research and mostly evidence-based.

The Rheumatology Department at Axon Hospital & Dialysis Centre is a specialized department devoted to the diagnosis and treatment of conditions and diseases affecting the joints, muscles, and bones. Our rheumatologists primarily deal with clinical concerns involving joints, soft tissues, certain autoimmune illnesses, and connective tissue-related conditions. They treat various problems of the musculoskeletal system as well as many autoimmune disorders.
