New-born babies who need intensive medical attention are admitted into a special
section of the hospital called the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
(NICU).
Statistics show that 20 to 30 % of all pregnancies worldwide are
high risk. In fact, India accounts for 18 % of the world's 14.9 million preterm
births. Unexpected conditions and risk factors can affect a pregnancy's outcome
and change what's required at the moment of delivery.
PAEDIATRICS
Keeping this in mind we have designed a state-of-the-art Neonatal intensive care
unit (NICU) at Axon Hospital & Dialysis Centre, Sakinaka, equipped with the most
advanced technology.
The NICU is managed and led by experienced and expert neonatologist to manage
preterm, and critically ill newborns. Along with a team of dedicated and
compassionate NICU trained nursing staff and full time doctors for 24*7 care.
We have a dedicated ambulance with a pediatric registrar for children in case a
medical emergency arises.
